Introduction
Former president Zenichi Hattori found out that the friction charge phenomenon could separate stalks and leaves of green tea. He invented an electrostatic stalk extractor with this phenomenon in 1935 and established our company. To answer the higher demand of customer, we commercialized the color sorter for tea for the first time in the world in 1962. As a pioneer of sorting machine in Japan, we have been developing various sorting machines for many tipes of food and industrial materials. Our top priority is customers satisfaction and our motto is not to give up until we can implement high quality sorting. Our continuous efforts are reflected in today’s products.

- 1935
- Former president Zenichi Hattori invented an electrostatic tea stalk extractor The patent was registered and Hattori Seisakusho (a private company)was established.
- 1956
- The Purple Ribbon Medal was given to Zenichi Hattori for his invention of electrostatic tea stalk extractor by Emperor. Hattori Seisakusho Co.,Ltd. was established as a private limited company.
- 1962
- The first tea color sorter (H series) was commercialized.
- 1977
- The vacuum suction sorter (VS series) was commercialized.
- 1985
- The microwave tea dryer (MG series) was commercialized.
- 1987
- The color sorter for black tea (R series) was commercialized and its export
started. The color sorter for cereals, seeds, and coffee beans (NCS series) was
commercialized.
Separating the sales department, the Hattori Seisakusho Co.,Ltd. was established as a separate corporation in Fujieda-city, Shizuoka.

- The monochromatic CCD camera type color sorter for food (S2000・ BS2000 series) was commercialized.
